BIO Summary
Initiating his love
affair with music & brass instruments from the age of 12 and DJing around
Melbourne since 1992, Keltec is certainly no stranger to the Australian dance
music scene. A long-term affiliation with break beat and historical diversity
with music styles; Keltec's likings of Jazz, Soul, Ambient, House and
progressive have led him to become another cross-genre success.
A true Australian
patriot, Keltec’s current mix compilation ‘Future Breaks Volume 1’ includes 12
Australian produced works, proving the theory that Australian dance culture is
finally starting to embrace its own unique and world-class style of breaks.
Further to that, Keltec’s production skills have led to four CD and Vinyl
releases, more recently a 12” release through 3Beat records (UK) under the
sobriquet ‘Mortar & Pestle’ with production cohort Dan Mangan. Add to that
another three 12” releases before the year is out and it’s no wonder the
international stage is curious to see what’s next for this industry heavyweight!
Considered a down to
earth person, Keltec’s original talent for contorting the minds of those who
enter his dance floor are not a result of the cheek he exposes at every
performance, but merely years of passion in his career choice, love of music and
an emotive understanding in the minds of those who stand before him. A genius
behind the decks that has enabled him to adapt to any environment and you also
begin understand why Keltec is fast becoming one of Australia’s most
well-respected DJ’s.

production talents with a residency longer than Route 66, the support Keltec has
provided for almost every major international breaks DJ to hit Australia, along
